A darker, psychologically-laden interpretation of 'The Cowardly Lion' for this week's Animal Alphabets.
Intended both as a commentary on performing circus animals, as well as a rumination on the reality of 'cowardice'. For me, fear and anxiety are deeply personal. An outwardly strong person can still succumb to insecurity, fear and helplessness. One may find it difficult to understand another's inner conflict, but you can attempt to empathise.
