How did y'all spend Mother's Day
this Sunday? Hopefully well...
I had a fantastic time. The weather was luvlay
, no rain or hail. Went out and dragged half-a-ton of shopping home for a feast (stepmum desired some roast dinner, bloody hell those dead animal carcasses are heavy). Made blueberry muffins, and
wrapped pressies. Stepmum was pleased
. I walked a city in day light. The sun shone upon the bustling streets, and people mingled among the breath of cars. Too busy for me and my heavy bags. I turned right into a street not yet explored. There they were. Two dozen grounded birds, pidgeons mingling quietly on the paved earth. Shit. What have I wandered into? Don't fly, stay calm. Regarding me as a stranger, eyeing a new arrival in their midst... they parted letting me in and past.
A solitary bird opened its wings and floated up, then there were two, then four... Before I knew it, the flock was up. Gracefully, lazily they wagged their wings above my head. Swirling past, around... so close. Had my hands been free I would have touched them, returned the gentle gesture of the feathered wind.
That really happened, and I didn't get pooped on. Yeeey.
On Saturday I got a bit stressed, or something... and as I was wathing TV (About English/Pakistani people in UK, quite an interesting evening),instead of biting my nails, began to absent-mindedly pluck my eyebrows. Dammit! Too late did I realise that, that probably wasn't such a good idea.
Thankfully, when I went to inspect the damage the next morning, it wasn't too bad. Only needed an hour's worth of correcting. Suffice to say, my eyebrows are quite thinner now.
