  • Mood: Excited
  • Listening to: Sky News
  • Watching: an earthquake! :D
  • Playing: World of Warcraft
:bulletblue::bulletblue::bulletblue::bulletblue::bulletblue::bulletblue::bulletblue::bulletblue: Good evening! :bulletblue::bulletblue::bulletblue::bulletblue::bulletblue::bulletblue::bulletblue::bulletblue:

:bulletblue: Oh my F****G god! That was frikkin' awesome! At about one am in the morning, we had ourselves a sodding earthquake. Yeah! An actual earthquake! :D I was playing Warcraft at the time, but it pulled me right out.
I heard a quiet, deep rumbling and my window creaked a little. At first, I couldn't figure out what was happening.... shook my chair... no, that's not loose.. Was my computer about to explode (overreving)? No... Was it a nuclear explosion? Naw, no light flash.

...The water in my bottle betrayed it all, waving about visibly. :3 It was really exciting, and I went to shout at everyone I knew online and at home. Dad was on the top floor, and he felt it. :3 Stepmum was in bed, soundly asleep... and our trusted defenders the dogs, snoring loudly next to her.

*lol* I thought they were supposed to warn us of it impending.. like, 'get outta the house, yoh'. Perhaps they did in their own, special, way... by peeing on the kitchen floor the day before.

:bulletblue: In-game, all of us in the UK shouted the house down.. all those from Foreignia just went 'eh?' We also wiped on a group quest right about that time, due to lag on our side. They wanted to have another go, but honestly.. 'I am too excited to play this rubbish now.' It was even funnier that the Warcraft forums confirmed it before even the BBC did. XD Huge boon for us, geeks.

:bulletblue: It registered at about 4.7, and the epicenter was in the middle of England… still it reached us proudly in the South. Gotta ask my friends, who live close to Lincoln (not far from said epicenter) if it woke them up. :3 *bounces off the walls*

I am glad to hear that you're alright.
Quite alright actually.
"Alright" is more of an understatement here, I guess.

Now I want my own Earthquake.

Nyaw... go to California and enjoy! ;)
It's basically next door to you anyways ;3. America might be a huge place, but I imagine Cal is closer to you than it is to me. :3

I donno. I'd have to do a little measuring, and though it might be closer, I think a trip to California would be so far away that I'd just as well cross the pond anyway.
Besides, I'd get more culture going to visit England than going to visit Cali.

Well, there were a few people.. such as one kid had his pelvis broken by a fallen chimney. But he seems ok now, and out of surgery. :3

Woke us all up! Well, I wasn't technically asleep but very close... It knocked all my books and ornaments off the shelves and broke some. D: I was pretty scared at first. Never felt an earthquake before :P

Whooaaa... That sounded pretty hardcore. Whereabouts do you live? :3
I am in North London, and felt it very clearly. Enough to sit up and wonder what the heck was happening.
Any cracks in the walls?

No cracks, but the bathroom door doesn't fit so well!!

I'm in Nottingham. Not too far from where it originated - I'm amazed it reached so far and kept its strength!

Thank thee. I was somewhat confused, but kept my calm to begin with whilst trying to figure it out... and became extremely excited when I knew what it was... only cause I knew it was safe to be so, as nothing was cracking or breaking apart. :3
