Greetings!

Hai, hai, all!
Right, that time has finally come; the annual
London Film & Comic Con has finally arrived! My sister, her
groan-moaning boyfriend and I went last year and it was megafun.
I practically drooled over the A-Team van that time!
It appears that I'm going solo this year,
but hay! I can wander about for hours without interruption. Besides, I am going for business as well as pleasure this time. A few genuine comic-artists shall be attending, and I've set myself a <stroke>far-fetched</stroke> target; ask them at least one question about their craft. Chances are, however, that I'll chicken out in a major way and avoid their tables by a mile. *giggle* The retarded fact is that there are no female artists invited this time round, so that's
hugely discouraging.
Is this yet another field where I'll hit the very real glass ceiling?
Entertainment-wise; a few
points of interest attending shall be
Christopher Lloyd (I
do have a question to ask him, but that won't ever happen lol!) and..
THE DeLorean!!! Yay! *bounces around excitedly* Now,
that is a guest worth drooling over.

Preemptively stuffing mah pockets full of cash, I'm determined to actually
buy something this time! Among the desirables shall be some
Husky and Starch goodies
that obsession really did return at a good time, some
James Cagney vintage stuff
All that and anything else in the sci-fi department that might catch my eye.

It's a bit of a short notice, but if
you are in the vicinity of London, and Earl's Court specifically.. you'd be welcome to tag along. Simply send me a pm, or just comment on this journal.
snort Who am I kidding
it'll be a solo venture after all.
Farewell,
~Yel.

xD Either way, don't ask Mr. Lloyd questions about Back to the Future, I bet he'd be super pissed. I mean 20 years ago. 20!! and he's still remembered for just that. O.o .. ofc he'd been in other things, but ... well I don't really remember them.. he had a few cameos here and there.. *thinks*
And don't be scared to ask the comic artists questions, they'd only be glad to answer them. I mean, they'd feel smug and proud if someone asked for advice. :3 I know I would. Sitting in a comic con all day, at some random table.. not so fun.
...I actually saw it.. and licked it, and took gratituous photos of it.
It looks like the real thing!!!!!!!!
You can take photos of it, or even have your own taken WHILST SITTING INSIDE!!!. It has an operational flux capacitor, all the destination modules, the shiny/glowy buttons on the ceiling. Everything! It's.. bloody awesome. It feels like the holy grail of any self-respecting geek! <3
Ah no.. I have questions about other movies to ask him lol! :3
I'll upload photos and my account of the first day a little later. :3
Mew.
Aaaaask them. It's only a single question; keep it short, and you'll have time to duck into the crowd if you make a fool of yourself, before they have the opportunity to memorise your face.
Especially since the convention happens only once a year.. and to travel further to a similar one (such as Northampton or Birmingham) seems much too daunting. :3
And aye, I did ask, and it was awesome.
