EDIT

:snowflake: I’m 27. I most probably will never marry, and most definitely won’t even achieve anything great in my life.

But, feck I know how to have fun in the snow. It had fallen thickly all over; coating all the bushes and the naked trees. Everything is white in my back garden and it was too good a chance to pass up. Today, I finally satisfied my lifetime desire of making a snowangel!

I spent about an hour making a snowy Loch Ness Monster but his face kept falling off, so I gave up and lay back down in my snowangel letting the falling snow melt on my face. <3 Lying there, I was trying not to think of dog poo under the snow that I may very well have sat in. I’d previously found about four such exemplars, that were wonderfully squidgy despite the temperature.

Before that, I’d wasted some time standing under the snow-laden trees and tugging at the branches hard. W00t!

:snowflake: You guys need to learn to have fun. Major lolz to the rest of the country which is scared stiff of a few inches of snow. It won’t be a nuclear war or an epidemic that will do Britain in; it will be a snowy winter. *lols hard* Up until recently, we used to have two metres of snow each winter in Latvia and school would only be cancelled if it hit -30C (-22 F?). You guys got some soft snow fall and no train or bus will run, no shop will open or public service operate!

:snowflake: You know that you’ve had a really nice time when all of your lower extremities are numb. Also, my butt is still cold; coffee and cookies didn’t help. :)

Frostily yours,
~Yel.

To be fair, I remember it once being -35, but Grandma still told me to go to school, like only 2 kids showed up + teacher. Was rubbish...!
But glad you enjoyed the snow, and hopefully you didn't get too much poopie on yourself!

There were at least four poopies, which I had to mark with extra snow on top and a branch.

Month-long replies FTW! I rooooooock.

You're only a year older than me? Now I feel bad.

Well, in reality I'm still 26... but the fact that I forgot, downgrades me to 27.
But don't worry, you're welcome to join my snow party whatever your age. ^_^

I swear the serious snow goes out of its way to avoid wherever I'm living.
I'm in the north. The snow today? It MELTED. Less than half an inch settled. When I was a kid, I kept hearing it was snowing so hard up here, and now that I LIVE here, it piles up down south instead. Bah.

Hey, the weather person said that heavy snow will migrate north tomorrow. Do let me know if it reaches you. :D

Inches.
I LOL.
"INCHES"

Whereabouts do you live that mere inches of snow is a big deal?

Feet. That's something to get excited about. Moving feet of snow, one yard at a time.

That's a Maine wintah.

:D LOL!
I know, it's ridiculous. Literally, many people were stranded all over the place because the train people thought 'fuck it, we're not gonna de-ice the rail'.
The news reader was calling it 'being pathetic' and I agree, places like Moscow have feet of snow.. like you say, and they run all year round. XD

.. Do you enjoy the snow? <3

That I do.
Not when I'm behind it with a shovel, but in a general sense.

It makes for beautiful scenery, and I find it to be the most creative form of naturally occurring phenomenon.

Aye!
I dig your 'naturally occurring phenomenon'.
Indeed, those icicles and ice flowers are immensely beautiful. X3

... the other awesomeness being a Rainbow. Booya!
