While C was gleefully squeeing over the weirdness and thinly-veiled pr0n that is Sex and the City (MadTv sketch, click at your peril), I decisively filed myself into the sad geekoid shelf by watching Ironman for the third time.
Bring on the DVD! Early estimates point towards October, but more likely it will be a fast and dirty version, and well have to gaze longingly towards Xmas for a bells and whistles.
Judging from the amount of time it is taking them to cart out Art of Ironman the Movie, the Special Edition DVD might take even longer to emerge. Watch that Space.
Even though quality has given way to quantity as of late, Im still feeling positively about art. Have a few projects lined up; 1) First-shot Superhero comic book 2) Another Ironman fan work in the vein of Fatigue but with higher angst quotient, more like that of Shootout 3) Definitely more illustrations from the worlds of my original personages.
the movie, that is. It had its critics, but I found myself enjoying it. It may have more (plot) holes than Swiss cheese.. but we all know that its also very, very tasty. The cheese, that is. Plot holes aside, the special effects were often badly thought-through or quite cheap. Also, Nicholas Cages hair was rubbish. At least, he is facing up to the harsh reality and not wearing a horrendous toupee ala Ghost Rider. And I loved it. The rubbish hair, that is.
I am flying out to Latvia this Wednesday. Do Not Want! >_< Not in any shape or form. Even though weve been flying for the longest time, its now decisively giving me the jitters. Gotta think positively, Yel think positively. Simply liken it to rollercoasters. You love rollercoasters, dont you? Yes I do. I do. *wheee eeEEK!*<3 The middle bit is fine, especially when we are flying over turbulence free landmasses, its the take off and especially the landing that I doth not like. :scared:
In addition to that, we shall visit our grandparent, who is ever ready to deal out criticisms about our chosen lifestyles at the drop of a hat. Seriously, a ton of bricks is more than my straw house of self-esteem can handle.
In any case, hope to come through it unscathed and be back here on Thursday the 19th. :3
Wish me luck,
~Yel.
