My (work) life is a hive of activity, and it's a good time for an update.
Webspaces!
I am kicking my self-promotion up a notch and have created two new webspaces!
You can now follow me on Tumblr. Tumbled things include art I really enjoy as well as my own work. My stream is more like a trickle that won't flood your dash, so you may as well follow me. Once we get more than ten of you looking in, I'll open up for 'ask' doodle sessions.
I also have a blog for lengthier commentary. Not a big writer generally, but this should help to organise my thoughts for a change. Here, I shall talk about my comic projects, ideas, inspirations and the process/progress of being a comic artist.
A personal portfolio website is also in development.
Arty-farting!
I've kicked my own arse and have started a weekly comic strip - 'Artdventures'. The beginnings are a little shaky, but it's good practice. Told from the perspective of Artinaut, a cartoon alien and my tumblr persona, the strip is loosely based on my own life and experiences viewed through a thick lens of cartoon science-fiction and ... ahem whimsy? The humour's pretty weird, so you'll be forgiven for being totally lost.
Strips so far; 'Artist's Woes' & 'Diet Plan'.
In other news, there are a few short comic stories on the go, intended for eventual publication in Orang Utan Comics' 'Faster than Light' anthology. We've also teamed up with Liam Hayes on words and Dong Beniga Jr ( ~dongbenigajr ) on art on 'Cataclysm', a dark, post-apocalyptic graphic novel. We are almost finished with issue one of three. See my colours on Liam's website!
I'm working on many other secret things, so keep an eye out for more news!
Tah,
~YZ.

BTW, why so anguished?
But anyway.
Thanks for the well-wishes. It's best to keep moving and doing stuff.
Also, yey for Nostalgia Critic quote there.
Thanks, one of my favorite quotes.
